Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the International Symposium on Respiratory Control which will be held in Saint Maximin en Provence, France, from 1^st to 4^th December 2008.
It is a residential symposium which will take place in a renowned medieval Convent. Because of the limited capacity within the Royal Convent Hotel, we must limit the number of participants.
The Symposium is aimed at specialists in the field of Respiratory Rhythmogenesis, Physiology and Pathology.
Most recent data on maturation and function of the respiratory rhythm generator will be presented and discussed.
It is hoped that active discussion between participants will allow us to throw light on the most urgent research avenues for the future – short or long term issues to be considered.
A full day will be devoted to respiratory deficits with sessions on Rett Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Central Congenital Hypoventilation Syndrome and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
